Health Matters
A
European school project on health issues inspiring young people across Europe to
make informed, responsible choices about their well-being.
The
purpose of this project is to stimulate our pupils to become more informed about
health issues and so encouraging them to make more responsible decisions that
are important for themselves and others.
This will be made more interesting and exciting by encouraging them in a
variety of international projects exchanging information and working
cooperatively so that all pupils involved
discover that beneath the superficial cultural differences lie the
universal values of self-respect and respect for others.
The
students will cooperate and share their ideas both through email and attending
the coordinating meetings.
The small numbers of pupils at those meetings will work as an
international group, serving as ambassadors for their own countries and
delivering feedback to their fellow students
on
special projects, involving for instance drama, art and information technology.
This will in turn help cement relationships between the students from all
participating nations.
To
evoke the students’ interest and enthusiasm we will publish the outcomes of
their projects in the following media: a European magazine, travelling
exhibition and website.
The most exciting outcome of the project will be the final CD-Rom that
will include articles from the magazine, video recording of drama pieces
together with some interactive activities.
